On 16th December 2013, our world was turned upside down when our son was diagnosed with a rare terminal brain tumour. He was just 21 months old.

Over the months that followed, he endured countless hospital stays, surgeries, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, yet through it all he never lost his beautiful smile. His courage and strength amazed everyone who met him.

Throughout our journey, Young Lives vs Cancer (then CLIC Sargent) were there for us when we needed them most. During one of the few breaks in his treatment, they gave us something priceless – the chance to make precious memories together as a family. They arranged a special trip to CBeebies Land at Alton Towers, organising our travel, accommodation and spending money so we could simply enjoy being together. It became our last family holiday, and those memories will stay with us forever.

The support we received wouldn't have been possible without the kindness and generosity of people who donate to this amazing charity. They helped lift some of the weight from our shoulders during the hardest time of our lives.

Now, we want to give something back.

By setting up this fund in our son's memory, we hope to help Young Lives vs Cancer continue supporting families like ours. If we can help lift even the smallest part of the burden for another family facing childhood cancer, then our son's legacy will continue to make a difference, and his light will continue to shine.
