Our Story
Ivy was the most precious little girl we ever met and it was a privilege to have been her parents. She was the missing piece to our family puzzle, the sibling Stanley longed for. As a baby she was a dream, always smiling and so happy. When we were all together as a family was when she was at her happiest. She had the most gorgeous blonde curly hair like little ringlets, we never had to tell her off for misbehaving, sometimes she was a bit cheeky but she had such a kind temperament.
Ivy was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia just after her 3rd birthday, we were absolutely devastated. Although treatment was positive and a high recovery rate from this, unfortunately Ivy caught sepsis on her induction which sadly caused her death. Since loosing Ivy Young Lives vs Cancer have been absolutely amazing support. Finding events for Stanley to attend, looking into support for us as a family, they really are an amazing charity.
When Ivy passed we made a promise to her that we would get married (as this was planned before she fell poorly), and that we would make her a big sister. We have done both of these and she will always always be a massive part of our family and lives we talk about her every single day.
We want to set up this page in honour of Ivy, so her memory will live on forever. We will always be so grateful of the time we had with her, and we are so grateful to Young Lives vs Cancer for helping and guiding us through this tragic loss.
