This Eunan Harvey Youth Cancer Fund has been created by Eunan’s family to honour the remarkable young man who lived his life full of energy, kindness, humour and determination and who was cruelly taken from us at only 17.

Losing Eunan in August after his brief illness has left an indescribable pain for his family, friends, and community. But, amid our grief, we share a deep pride for having known Eunan and this Fund is one way that we can keep his memory alive.

To us, Eunan was the light in every room he entered. Bright, funny, cheeky, and with a smile that could floor you, he made us laugh, asked us endless questions, and left us simply better and kinder for having known him.

Eunan was a top-achieving student and an inspiring sportsman. We celebrated as he earned top grades in his AS Levels even while facing unimaginable challenges. He was a gifted hurler and talented Gaelic footballer, representing Glenariffe Oisin's, Glenravel Con Magees and County Antrim Minor team with pride.

Eunan loved Glenariff and the Glens and used every corner of it to run, cycle, golf, paddle board, fish, swim, or whatever else he could do that let him be outdoors with his friends, within the local community he loved.

But beyond his achievements and accolades, it was Eunan’s spirit that makes him extraordinary to us. Even after his diagnosis with aggressive hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma in May, he inspired us by continuing to find joy in everyday moments. The love for his family and the warmth he gave to those he was devoted to even in his final days was a truly selfless gift.

We owe it to Eunan to do what we can to help others in the way he helped us, and to make sure that the support he received while bravely battling his illness is available to others.
